6. Dietary fats also help increase the level of ketone bodies in blood. A process termed Ketosis helps brain get the fuel in absence of glucose which is very important during starvation.
7. Fish Oil rich in omega fatty acid is helpful in metabolic efficiency.
8. Fish oil also improves muscle health and muscle building.
Now these are few facts that are enough to state that fats are very important part of our diet and we need to include fat in our diet.
Also, we must know that our body must be fed with the right type of food and in right quantity. Just cause we say fat must be included that does not mean we need to hit the places where you find the best of the heavily loaded cheese burgers, pizzas overflowing with cheese, oily snacks like samosas, pakodas etc.
Fat must be consumed in required quantity only and in its best form for our body to be able to make the best use of it. 1 gram of fat contains 9 calories. 30% of our calorie intake should be met by fats. However, depending on age, sex and activity level and health condition one must make changes in terms of fat% intake in ones daily calorie consumption.
