Learn how to gym at home and stay fit easy way. I am sure you all remember those images, of how our ancestors looked like and what did they do for survival. I will share just 5 key facts.
A. Our Ancestors in Action:
Before I share how to gym at home let me share a story about our ancestors. Seriously, read this. In the long run of evolution the appearance of human has changed anatomically. Humans used to be hunters and gatherers which does not mean we need to start hunting and gathering or walking miles for days long distances.
It is obvious that our ancestors never got to live a life where there were super markets to fetch for food and stock up their kitchen with bread loafs, cheese, tarts, readily available veggies and even all sorts of processed food and preserved meat too.
Our ancestors used to hunt, kill, get their own meat, later also planted their own vegetation, and at times in the worst climatic condition track down food for living and walk miles together.
Off course! I am not asking you all to start living like them, but we can definitely feel the amount of calories they used to burn, doing all the activities with such a lifestyle and this is why they were stronger and healthier.
So, now the question is, “Is there a solution to still help ourselves get a fit and healthy body or is it true that we got to devote some time for gym at home?”
Before I could tell you the answer or disclose the truth let me throw some more light into this topic.
Human body was always meant for action. In here, I mean physical movement in order to ensure that the reactions going within our body is all balanced. Also, we need to understand that eating the right food with its highest nutritional value can let us live healthy and longer.
B. Form of Food:
You must know that all the food that our ancestors used to eat was either raw, smoked over fire, roasted on huge pieces of stones and I bet the nutrition was taken care of as there was no deep frying and use of any preservatives and spices that reduced the nutritional value.
Let me ask you something. How do you feel when you have to go trekking with your friends, and you stay behind and hear someone calling out to you, “It’s just few more miles dear. You can do it.”
Surely, you feel almost crushed out big; even in your 20s and 30s. Well, that was not the case for our ancestors even in their 50s for sure and you hear stories of people living longer for 150 years (your grandparents).
C. Modern Vs Ancestral Food:
My point here is that, we need to learn the art of eating right. If you cook it right or eat as much raw food, or even steamed food can make a great difference to your lives. I don’t say that I always eat raw and never try anything else. But, I can definitely guarantee that eating raw salads, steamed or grilled food without oil and processed versions for at least 6 days/week can help you regain your fitness and increase your endurance during your activities.
You can stock up your bellies with delicacies 1 day/week which does not mean I will go grab deep fries or any sort of oily food made in the streets even if it smells of heaven for my senses. I make sure I do not get carried away. Rather, I chose to prepare the same delicacy at home in a much healthier version.
Yes! on the contrary you can chose eating outside like grilled meat and veggies or steamed momos or ask your favorite paratha stall to serve you paratha without oil or butter (and it’s a cheat day for you!).

D. Modern Common Man Lifestyle:
Taking into account our today’s lifestyle it seems difficult to stick to a healthy eating habit.
And many of us also think that a stressful and brainstorming day at office was enough to burn those extra calories.
So, what does a common man actually do all these 5-6 days/week? Let’s take a look:
- Wake up every morning (before 2-3 hours of heading to office).
- Eat breakfast, readily prepared by your mom, wife, husband, or a maid (some may even skip this as they are too busy replying to emails).
- Rush for a bath
- Get ready for office
- Take lifts or stairs to the parking (lifts mostly as they seem comfortable and stay on the 10th floor).
- Get onto bikes or in the car.
- Drive all the way to office amidst the disturbing traffic (which already cause release of bad hormones).
- Reach office and grab your breakfast or to be more specific your lunch since it is your lunch time (another hit on your metabolism).
- You might as well use lifts to move from floor to floor for meetings, eating in the canteen or meeting clients etc. (holding your body back, from any kind of physical activity again).
- Eating all possible kind of outside food in the canteen or enjoying those pizzas, burgers for all the possible parties by your friends and even you at times. (Not feeding your body with any good nutritional food).
- Office hours end with a long list of meeting, calls, team hurdles, next day checklist and many more and you might as well forget eating dinner at the right time (letting your body starve to death).
- You drive your vehicle or get into the company cab and reach home.
- Late hour dinners which is once again ready for you at the dining table.
- Watch TV while enjoying your dinner finally.
- Going to bed for sleep (not allowing your body to digest the food you ate and forcing it to reduce its worthwhile activity of metabolism).
Wow! that was huge. I know for sure that this will be the routine of almost 80-90% of you all as I have been there and seen many of us.
E. So, Should you Gym to Stay Fit?
Trust me, if you don’t try and get motivated and determined to change your lifestyle then for sure you are travelling a path of bad health and ruining your own lovely body.
Do you know that even after leading such a lifestyle why do we still feel fresh every morning after a long and good sleep? Its because during sleep our body repairs and heals all the mishaps that we do through out the day and you wake up feeling healthy.
But, do remember that you are not a machine and neither is your body. It will help you if you help your body with good nutrition and do the required amount of physical activity it has always meant to do.
Yes! you got it right. Here lies the answer if you should gym at home to stay fit. With the advanced technologies that aids to our comfort level and the busy life, we must make sure we gym and follow a great regime to survive in a healthy way. We need not depend on doctors and medicines to cure every disease. Start exercising and see the difference for yourself and enjoy every moment of your life.
